Lately I have been truly captivated by this scene. This summer on this same bridge I took a picture and the flowers were purple instead of yellow like they are now. In life we go through many seasons, and our “colors” change.
We all have stages of life where everything is truly going great, or we are in a season of trial. It is crazy how I saw this by looking at these pictures alone. Everything I am studying right now is coming together by simply taking a picture a day…God can use anything in your life to bring Him glory.
Both of these pictures were taken in my hometown in Salado, Texas. Heather Dawes and I were meeting for discipleship and we talked about Psalm 30:5….
“For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for a lifetime;
Weeping may last for the night, But a shout of joy comes in the morning.”
It reminds us that as Christians we often times forget that the joy in the morning might not actually come tomorrow morning, but the morning is promised to come eventually! I praise God for this promise, no matter what phase or stage or “color” of life that you are in the joy of the morning is promised to come!
My prayer through this post is that you will be challenged to start reading a Psalm a day. This can be used to teach you how to pray, remind you of telling God where you are at in life, or to dig deeper in your daily reading.
Remembering this promise.
